Yep, essential oils can boost your digestive system, too!

Love is not a feeling in your chest; it is bending down to wash another’s feet.
Our Life In Pictures
Six years ago today, we closed on our first house as a family of three! Less than two years after my divorce, I earned a Master’s degree, got appointed department head at my school, and bought a car and a house. Coming out of one of the most devastating times in my life, I was hell-bent on writing a different story and God was there in the middle of it all. I come back to experiences like this to remind myself of what I can achieve when I run all-out towards something. Watch out, 2019. It’s about to go down.
We love this sweet boy, our Nilla Bean. He came to our family by happenstance this winter, and we are so thankful he did! Some of Nilla’s favorite things: trail walks with the boys in the woods, extra scoops of food at dinner time, snuggle ups on the back porch, naps in the sunshine, and swatting our dogs on the butt as they run into the house. 🤣🤣 #nillabeantalley #ctfamtakes2019
I love our slice of heaven. Moving to the woods was the best idea ever, honey. I’m so glad we decided to make this sweet dream come true for our family. #cranglehall
Yep. My back porch is always open. Best view. Best wine/drank. Best company. Come see me. 💜💜 #cranglehall
You know it was a good sleep when you wake up lookin’ like Hagrid. 🤣🤣

I met Mary tonight at my favorite nail salon. I sat down at the nail dryer catty-corner from her and after a few seconds, she asked what color I’d chosen. I admitted I had no idea. That I love me a springtime pastel pink but I always forget to note the color’s name. She smiled and at that point our conversation could have ended. I was exhausted after a day of teaching and state-testing planning and preparation. All I really wanted was some peace and quiet, but what’s the fun in that?! So I asked her what color she’d chosen today. “Ballet slippers,” she said, and with that what could have been a non-existent conversation turned into forty minutes of the sort of heart-wide-open connection that happens in no other way than by God’s sweet providential hand. We talked about our sisters, about our broken but not busted education system, about extending grace, and how we are all wired for connection. As she got up to leave, we exchanged phone numbers and I said, “Ballet slippers! I’m definitely getting that color next time.” And in the next moment, she was pulling a little bottle of powder pink nail polish out of her handbag saying, “Ellie, for you.” I could have bawled. We hugged, promised to text soon, and she left to grab take-out dinner for her and her husband. And I’m just sitting here thinking about how I’m so glad that I asked sweet Mary what color nail polish she had on her fingernails. Because sometimes it really is that simple.
The moment our sisterhood was complete. Thankful for my sisters and all that God continues to do in and through us. #nationalsiblingsday
Tummy troubles rescue right here for every person in your sweet family. I had a 7am faculty meeting this morning and woke up with a rumbly in my tumbly that would make anybody blush. Between making breakfast and pouring coffee, I rubbed a few drops of Aromaease on my abdomen and wouldn’t you know, my tummy aches subsided before I even left the house. I’m still learning how to reach for plant-based products before that over the counter stuff we were all raised to go to first. It’s a process, and every day brings its own lessons. This was one of mine for today. (Also, how thoughtful is my sweet man to leave love notes around the house for me to find when he’s away on work trips?! I’m the luckiest.) 💜💜💜
Color is coming to #cranglehall! I’ll never get tired of this view. Something so special to come home to every day. #thankful #getoutside
Someone’s glad that Daddy is home! #pollygirl #ctfamtakes2019 #bostonterrier #bostonsofinstagram
I took the long way home so that I could soak in sights like this. Good for my soul.
Anna Ruby falls did not disappoint! We’ve had so much fun exploring this beautiful part of the country. Love adventuring with my sweet friend. 💜
Beautiful day for some wine tastin’ 💜
It’s a heavenly day in northern Georgia! I’m thankful that tummy troubles on Thursday night didn’t keep me from enjoying this sweet getaway with one of my best girls!
